Dihexa (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) aminohexanoic amide) is an angiotensin IV analogue developed at Washington State University. It activates the HGF/MET receptor system, which regulates synaptogenesis and dendritic arborisation. It crosses the blood-brain barrier orally and has an exceptionally long duration of effect (days to weeks).
