Published August 27, 2026 2 min read 5 mg Popular Peer-Reviewed

Overview

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide of 15 amino acids derived from a protective protein in human gastric juice. Preclinical studies demonstrate systemic healing activity across tendons, muscles, the CNS, and the gastrointestinal tract.

It accelerates angiogenesis, upregulates growth hormone receptors in fibroblasts, and modulates nitric oxide synthesis. It also interacts with the dopaminergic and serotonergic systems.
