Why Storage Matters

Peptides are fragile molecules. Heat, light, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles can reduce potency. A simple cold-chain habit protects your research materials.

Lyophilized (Dry Powder) Storage

  • Short-term: Refrigerator at 2°C–8°C
  • Longer-term: Freezer at −20°C or lower when appropriate for the compound
  • Protect from light and moisture
  • Let the vial warm slightly before opening to reduce condensation

Reconstituted (Liquid) Storage

  • Refrigerate at 2°C–8°C — do not freeze reconstituted solution in most protocols
  • BAC water supports multi-draw use better than plain sterile water
  • Discard if cloudy, discolored, or particulate matter appears

Light Sensitivity
