P21 is a cyclic peptide derived from the active domain of Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF). It activates the JAK/STAT3 signalling pathway, stimulating hippocampal progenitor cell proliferation by up to 20-fold in animal studies. It improves spatial memory and shows promise as an adjunct for depression.
